COFFEE SYSTEMS / HOTELS

Plan every coffee point in the property.

Plan distinct coffee experiences for breakfast, the lobby, meetings and staff, with the right workflow for each point of service.

Planning guidance, not a site specification. Final capacity, utilities and installation depend on the selected equipment and location.

THE OPERATING MODEL

Design for the busiest minutes—not the average day.

Daily volume sets the scale. The peak reveals the workflow. Read both beside the menu, operator, utilities and service plan before choosing a platform.

THE FIELD GUIDE

Six decisions that shape a workable system.

Each chapter focuses on a decision that changes machine fit. Read the opening point, then unfold the detail when it matters.

01

Separate the places you serve

A hotel can contain several coffee operations under one roof. Breakfast service may have a concentrated rush, a lobby station may run throughout the day and meeting rooms may need many drinks at once.

Continue the field note

Staff areas add another demand profile. Count each location separately before considering whether one platform should serve them all. Record access hours, guest numbers and who replenishes each station. The strongest plan reflects those different rhythms while keeping maintenance and support manageable for the team.

02

Make guest interaction clear

Decide which stations are self-service and which are staffed. A breakfast room may benefit from direct, understandable drink choices and a layout that keeps cups, milk and waste easy to find.

Continue the field note

A lobby bar may have an operator who prepares a broader menu. Check languages, cup sizes and the exact control interface on the selected model. Describe ingredients and milk options accurately, and keep any dietary or guest-policy requirements within the hotel’s established operating procedures.

03

Size for concentrated demand

Measure the busiest breakfast window and the largest conference break, including the likely share of milk drinks. A daily rating cannot predict whether a queue will form when a group arrives together.

Continue the field note

JURA positions the GIGA X8 for office-floor, catering and conference uses, with a recommended maximum of 200 drinks per day. Larger or more intensive stations may lead toward Eversys planning candidates. Confirm peak workflow, generation and milk configuration before presenting any machine as a final fit.

04

Match equipment to the location

Some stations can use refillable tanks; others may justify direct water and drainage. Installed Eversys or commercial Simonelli equipment needs model-specific electrical and plumbing preparation.

Continue the field note

Check where milk equipment, cups and cleaning materials will sit, and whether staff can access the station during service. A small traditional machine may fit a staffed hospitality point with modest demand, but it should not be offered as a replacement for unattended automatic breakfast service simply because it has a compact footprint.

05

Connect service and housekeeping

Name the team responsible for daily milk cleaning, grounds disposal and refills at every location. Establish handovers between breakfast staff, food and beverage teams and other operators.

Continue the field note

Confirm that cleaning can happen within the available schedule and that consumables are stocked centrally or locally. Ask the service provider about access, response arrangements and spare equipment options. The manufacturer’s warranty should be interpreted alongside the actual local service agreement, with any water-quality and authorized-installation conditions understood before opening.

06

Build a repeatable specification

Use a location-by-location schedule to select the platform, exact configuration and accessories. Include power, water treatment, drain access and the person who signs off installation readiness.

Continue the field note

The machines below are starting points for that exercise; they do not establish capacity for every hotel size. Once the workflow is verified, document the recipes, cleaning routine and replacement parts so the experience stays consistent. A clear operating specification also makes future refurbishments and additional service points easier to plan.

SITE READINESS

The machine is one line in the site plan.

Confirm what surrounds it before cabinetry, utilities or purchasing are finalized.

01

Assess every station separately.

02

Verify self-service milk configuration.

03

Plan event peaks and breakfast queues.

04

Confirm installation readiness and service ownership.

Tri-state commercial installation is available upon request, subject to site, machine and service-area confirmation.

FROM SHORTLIST TO SITE PLAN

Turn the service plan into an equipment brief.

Share the peak window, service model and site conditions. The consultation narrows the field before retailer checkout.

YOUR OPERATING BRIEF

Use actual drink demand—not employee count. For more than 2,000 drinks per site daily, speak with a specialist.

Peak planning equivalent120drinks / hour

Your 15-minute demand × 4. This expresses the intensity of the rush; it does not predict machine output.

Across your locations200drinks / day

Assumes the same stated daily demand at each location. Model each site separately when routines differ.

A workflow people can use.

Choose employee self-service, staffed preparation or barista service. Confirm automatic versus manual milk preparation.

Ready for your facilities team.

Confirm electrical supply, treated water, drainage, counter clearances, milk cooling and service access before specifying equipment.

A coffee program with an owner.

Assign daily cleaning and replenishment. Agree on installation, local service, warranty coverage and repair arrangements for every site.

Plan the busiest fifteen minutes.

Daily ratings and lab output do not guarantee sustained mixed-drink service. A specialist should verify capacity and configuration before a commercial order.
